Flexible and Rigid-Flex circuits offer unique solutions, but are often overlooked because of other issues they introduce. We have found several ways to overcome these issues which not only help to hold a board in place but also aide in keeping it flat as well. The use of PCB tension, compression, collapsing locating pins, multiple hold-downs, tac-strips, spacers, and cantilever hold-downs are some of the ways that make flex and rigid-flex useful and convenient.
